Hines’ Cannon Place in the City may have taken more than two years to woo its first tenant but the office block was last night given the glitzy award of the “best commercial workplace” in the country at the British Council for Offices (BCO) National Awards. Meanwhile, Jimmy Choo’s new headquarters at 123 Victoria – a Land Securities building – was highly commended in the “refurbished or recycled workplace” category. Quite the bling title for luxury shoe-maker’s home.
It’s not just national parks and museums that have been hit by the US government shutdown. Keen followers of @flotus – the official Twitter account of first lady Michelle Obama – will also be missing out on updates during the closure. Flotus signed off with an apology for the lack of updates after congress failed to pass necessary budget legislation. #shutdown indeed.
