G4S
Evolution Securities yesterday said that security firm G4S’s management team presented a reassuring sales message, keeping focused on their core driver of demand, moving towards outsourcing with stable margins. They kept a “neutral” rating but moved their target price up to 252p from 230p.

TOMKINS
Cazenove said with recent news indicating the car industry trading being in rude health, automotive firm Tomkins is an “outperforming” stock with a 187p target price. The broker sees industrial production rising in the group’s key market areas and believes that aftermarket demands for Tomkins’ products is starting to improve.

CARPHONE WAREHOUSE
Broker Daniel Stewart issued a “buy” note on the mobile phone company yesterday at a target price of 234p. The appointment of Dido Harding as chief executive of sister company, Talk Talk, while surprisingly early, had positive implications for keeping momentum running for the demerger due in July 2010.
