Twitter is either a place you love to be on election night, or downright hate to be.

As the results rolled in and the tables turned, social media was providing endless sources of amusement for those who decided to stay up and see history made.

Donald Trump stayed offline, but recently has sent his first tweet since winning, and has even updated his bio and cover photo too.

Such a beautiful and important evening! The forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again. We will all come together as never before
