James Belmont joins the management consultancy as director of its new risk analytics service. Belmont has over 15 years’ experience in consultancy and industry, and has held senior positions at Barclays, Alliance & Leicester and PA Consulting.

The law firm has appointed Scott Campbell as managing partner for the United Arab Emirates. The four-year contract will see him succeed Sarosh Mewawalla, who has returned to full-time client work. Campbell has more than 14 years of experience in the Middle East, including advising Bahrain Telecommunications Company on its acquisition of the Monaco & Islands assets of Cable & Wireless Communications. He will be based in the Dubai office.
Property Partner
The seed-funded financial technology company has appointed Jalin Somaiya as chief operating officer. Jalin joins from Google in London, where he has, for the past seven years, held senior pan-regional roles across operations, strategy and marketing. Somaiya was responsible for the pan-regional launch of Chrome.
Norton Rose Fulbright
The law firm has appointed Daniel Franks as a partner in its London capital markets practice. Franks has over 12 years’ experience and joins from Fieldfisher.
BirthStar Target Date Funds
Tom Cropper has been appointed as head of strategic partnerships at the savings and investment company. Cropper joins from the leadership team at TSB. Prior to that, he was head of strategy for the retail division at Lloyds Banking Group.
Kingston Smith
The accountancy firm has appointed Mark Fielden as a tax partner. He joins from Grant Thornton and has 16 years’ experience across a range of tax disciplines. He will be based at the firm’s City office.
Oriel Asset Management
The independent fund management specialist has appointed Jamie Ward as a fund manager. Ward has eight years of investment experience and was previously with Wolos Capital. Prior to that, he worked at Investec with Patrick Barton and Richard Scrope. He began his career at Brown Shipley.
