The insurer has appointed Margaret Coltman as general counsel and company secretary.
Coltman, who will also be on the executive committee, was initially appointed to the role in July on an interim basis, having formerly worked as general counsel and company secretary at Lloyds Banking Group. She started her career at law firm Norton Rose, where she was a partner for 22 years.

Hoare Capital Markets
The agency broker has made seven new appointments to expand its team.

Simon Campbell Boreham is a senior emerging markets fixed income trader and joins from Finantia; Lars Blichfeldt Jensen, from Danske Bank, is based in Copenhagen to head up the firm’s credit business in the Nordic companies; Miten Amin is a senior ABS and structured product salesman and previously headed the European ABS syndicate and trading desk at Commerzbank; Iglika Bostandzhieva, from Dresdner Kleinwort, is a credit salesperson specialising in emerging market and high yield corporate bonds; fixed income salesmen Haakon Blakstad and Tombany Kouloufoua join from Visa Europe and Merrill Lynch respectively; and Spencer Freeman Haynes, who will be joining as a senior member of the inflation swap desk, has worked at Tradition and BGC Partners.

Chaucer Holdings
The insurance group has appointed Robert Stuchbery as chief executive officer, effective from 1 January.

Stuchbery has been a director of Chaucer since July 1998 and joined the group 10 years prior to that. He is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is also currently chairman of the underwriting committee of the Lloyd’s Market Association Board.

The firm also confirmed Ken Curtis as its new chief financial officer, joining the board with immediate effect.

Cordea Savills
The property fund manager has appointed Andreas Lenz as finance manager for its German retail fund.

Lenz joins from international investment and advisory firm Babcock & Brown, where he was a senior finance manager responsible for real estate financial analysis, asset management and transactions. He also worked for five years in Ernst & Young’s real estate division.

Bravura Solutions
The wealth management applications and professional services firm has hired Brian Mitchell as a non-executive director.

Mitchell has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, having most recently been senior vice president of Oracle Asia Pacific.

He is also a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
