Corrections Policy

Last updated: June 2026

We aim to be accurate, but mistakes happen. When they do, we correct them openly. If you believe an article contains a factual error, please tell us — supplying any supporting evidence helps us verify and act quickly.

How to report an error

Use our contact form and choose “Correction request” as the reason, or email editor@cityam.ca. Please include the article title or link, the specific point you believe is wrong, and any evidence or sources that support the correction.

How we handle it

We review every correction request. Where we confirm a significant factual error, we fix the article and add a visible correction note at the foot of the piece explaining what was changed and when. Minor typographical fixes that do not change meaning may be made without a note. We do not quietly delete published articles to make errors disappear.

Correction notes

A correction note looks like this:

Correction, June 2026: an earlier version of this article stated [X]. It has been updated to reflect [Y].
