Crypto custody licence granted to Commerzbank

Crypto custody licence granted to Commerzbank.

Commerzbank AG has been handed a cryptocurrency custody licence in Germany.

The banking giant said it would be using the licence to allow it to launch a “broad range of digital asset services” as it turns its attention to cryptocurrencies.

It is understood the bank’s crypto services will be catering for corporate and institutional clients, with the first product being a custody service for both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
