SERVICES company Speedy Hire has reported a 12 per cent jump in revenue for the six months ended 30 September, from £169m in 2013 to £189m. Pre-tax profit grew from £4.5m in the first half of the 2013 financial year, to £10.3m.

Mark Rogerson, Speedy Hire chief executive, said there were “major opportunities ahead” as the UK business continued with a “very significant infrastructure regeneration programme”.

He added: “We are on track to deliver results for the full year in line with the board’s expectations, and our confidence for the future is underpinned by an increased interim dividend.”
