EP: 284 Newbury & Market Rasen

The Weatherbys Super Sprint over 5 furlongs for 2-year-olds is worth a quarter of a million pounds in prize money and it takes place at Newbury on Saturday afternoon, alongside the 6 furlong Group 3 Hackwood Stakes.

The jumps meeting at Market Rasen also features on ITV where they run the annual Summer Plate Chase on the same afternoon, plus there’s the Irish Oaks at Curragh racecourse.

CityAM Racing editor Bill Esdaile previews the best of this weekend’s racing action. Hosted by Chris Barnett.

The Punter

‘The Punter’ has been CityAM’s dedicated sports betting section for over a decade with a primary focus on horseracing. Chris Barnett

Chris Barnett has been a broadcasting specialist for over two decades, specialising in radio, video and podcast presentation and production. Since working at SIS, Betfair Radio, Timeform Radio, Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood, Cheltenham Festival Radio and more recently, Arena Racing, Chris has always been at the forefront of the top sporting events, grabbing interviews with those that matter.
