Sun loungers came in fourth place with a hike of 51 per cent, as Brits prep for the next heatwave. Meanwhile, garden tables were ranked fifth, increasing in price by 47 per cent in the last year.

With Covid-19 hammering hospitality spaces, garden furniture has soared in popularity in the last year, while the UK braces for another summer of garden-crawling instead of the typical pub routes.

While there are still restrictions on visiting pubs and homes, many will be opting for garden gatherings over pub crawls this summer, much like the summer before it.

But as demand spiked, garden furniture on Amazon had their prices hiked – with furniture covers prices 137 per cent, according to home insurance company Money.

Out of the top 10 covers analysed by Money, Amazon’s ‘Deyard Parasol Cover’ which was once being sold for £2 swelled to £15.99 – an increase of 700 per cent.

Hammocks, a summer fan-favourite, were ranked the second most popular garden accessory for the UK’s 10 minutes of sun, with an average price increase of 68 per cent.

The next most popular were parasols, a British garden staple designed for the UK’s summer wind, rain and shine, which have seen a total average increase of 64 per cent.

Sun loungers came in fourth place with a hike of 51 per cent, as Brits prep for the next heatwave. Meanwhile, garden tables were ranked fifth, increasing in price by 47 per cent in the last year.
