Harry eyes fourth deal for Kranjcar

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has admitted he wants to sign Croatia playmaker Niko Kranjcar for a fourth time as he also closes in on deals for striker Eduardo Vargas and Norwich City midfielder Leroy Fer.

Chile World Cup forward Vargas is set for a medical today ahead of a season-long loan from Italian side Napoli with Fer expected to sign for a fee said to be in the region of £7.5m.

While goalkeeper Julio Cesar departed the club yesterday for Benfica, Redknapp has targeted Dynamo Kiev midfielder and former QPR loanee Kranjcar – who he also managed at Tottenham and Portsmouth – as a player he would like to see return to Loftus Road.

“Niko is a player I’m speaking to the chairman about,” said Redknapp. “He’s a Premier League player with real quality and he can do things other people can’t.”
