It’s Vettel’s to lose – Alonso

FERRARI’S Fernando Alonso insists the pressure is on his Formula One championship title rival Sebastian Vettel ahead of Sunday’s decisive Brazilian Grand Prix.

Alonso sits 13 points behind Vettel as they approach the season finale, with the Red Bull driver needing just a top four finish to secure the championship.

It’s a positioning that Alonso says puts the burden on Vettel.

“As it is not in our hands the pressure is much less,” said Alonso. “We have nothing to lose.”

Spaniard Alonso needs a podium finish to stand any chance of snatching the title from the German, even if the Red Bull driver retires from the race.
