Let’s talk logistics: Transport software firm Microlise to float in London

UK firms see ‘severe pressure’ on supply chains ahead of Brexit deadline
The collision of the pandemic and Brexit in the UK has wreaked havoc on supply chains across the world, which the software seeks to remove.

Transport logistics software group Microlise is set to list on London’s junior market later this week, as the transport industry seeks to slash emissions amid supply chain struggles.

“Our customers are under pressure to meet increased environmental regulations and want more integration across supply chains,” CEO Nadeem Raza said.

“The challenges of the pandemic and Brexit have raised even greater awareness of the need to optimise the movement of goods efficiently and sustainably.”

The group, which provides transport management software to fleet operators, has already raised £61.2m from investors.

The latest capital rally has valued Microlise at £156.5m, as it looks to widen its product offering. 

Microlise’s transport management software can help fleet operators reduce emissions by improving efficiency – measuring fuel use, mileage and driver performance among other factors.

The collision of the pandemic and Brexit in the UK has wreaked havoc on supply chains across the world, which the software seeks to remove.

The Nottingham-headquartered firm is mainly based in the UK but has offices in France, India, and Australia.

More than half of the UK’s large HGV fleet operators, which is defined as more than 500 vehicles, use Microlise’s platform, the group said.
