Germany's Euthanasia Association has announced it will not assist unvaccinated patients with ending their lives.

The government is considering making those who have had two Covid-19 vaccines exempt from forced isolation.

The idea, which is currently being discussed in Westminster, would see those with two jabs take daily tests instead of isolate, Sky News reported.

If made into policy, it would come in later in the year once the adult population has been offered two jabs.

The news comes after professor Linda Bauld, an expert in public health at the University of Edinburgh, said today that a third wave of the virus in the UK is “definitely under way” and “the race is firmly on” between the vaccine rollout and the transmission of the Delta variant.

The Delta variant now makes up 99 per cent of all new Covid-19 cases in the UK, according to the latest data from Public Health England.

When asked about the likelihood of change in the quarantine rules for those fully vaccinated, Bauld told Radio Times: “It’s already in place in the US”.

The Department for Health has been contacted for comment.
