Cristiano Ronaldo has denied reports suggesting he has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid.

Rumours in Spain say the Portuguese international has agreed to join the La Liga champions in a record-breaking £75m transfer from Manchester United.

But the winger, who is likely to be out of action for up to three months after undergoing ankle surgery this week, denies that any deal has been done and remains committed to United’s cause.

“You know what I said, what I want and what I would like,” Ronaldo said on Portuguese TV. “Let’s see.

“It is not true that I have an agreement with Real Madrid, there is no agreement.”

Ronaldo is also likely to feel the wrath of his United bosses this week after admitting he is agreement with Fifa president Sepp Blatter claims that there is ‘too much modern slavery’ regarding player transfers.

Blatter said that players should be allowed to leave a club if he so wishes and urged United to give into Real’s on-going pursuit of the player.

“I agree with the statement of the president, he is right,” Ronaldo added. United, however, remain adamant that Ronaldo will not be leaving Old Trafford and deny any wrongdoing in their bid to keep their star man atOld Trafford.

A spokesperson said: “All our players, like at other clubs, enter into their contracts after an open and free negotiation. Most of whom do after taking advice from a Fifa-registered agent. Many do so on a number of occasions and enjoy long and successful stays at Old Trafford.”

Meanwhile, reports in Spain also suggest Real may have accepted defeat in their bid to sign Ronaldo with boss Bernd Schuster turning his attentions to Dutch international Rafael Van de Vaart instead.
