In pictures: Sculpture in the City makes the Square Mile pretty

The City's streets have started to look a bit more colourful in the past few days thanks to the addition of a number of sculptures dotted around the Bishopsgate area, as today marks the start of the Sculpture in the City exhibition.

“A new season of Sculpture in the City has arrived with a fresh selection of contemporary sculptures to stir the cultural souls of busy City workers, local children and visitors,” said Robert Hiscox, honorary president of insurance firm and sponsor Hiscox.

Antony Gormley, of Angel of the North fame, has a piece on show, along with 13 other artists.

Leadenhall Market will be used for two works, including Cerith Wyn Evans’ neon work “Time here becomes Space, Space here becomes Time”, which will be suspended from the 1881 ornate roof structure.

We wonder where the “Time here becomes Money” part has disappeared to?
