Storm Doris is wreaking travel chaos across the country today, with rail service disruptions set to continue all day.

All west coast services out of Euston have been cancelled, and Transport for London has advised travellers to avoid the station if possible.

London Thameslink services are severely disrupted, and there will be no direct service from London Bridge to Brighton between around 11am and 6pm. National Rail said customers should travel to East Croydon and change for alternative trains towards Brighton.

Meanwhile, damage to the overhead wires in the St Albans area is causing disruption to journeys. National Rail anticipates this will continue until the end of the day, and warned services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled.

London Overground services are also subject to delays:

  • A tree blocking the railway at South Kenton means that trains are unable to run between Watford Junction and Willesden Junction
  • A tree blocking the railway at New Cross Gate means that trains are unable to run between New Cross Gate / Crystal Palace

A fallen tree caused by the extreme weather conditions is blocking the railway between Reading and Wokingham, and service has been suspended on the route.

An object caught on the overhead wires between Barking and West Ham is causing cancellations and delays on trains in east London.
