Ukip spoof Tory attack ad: Nigel Farage has some fun at Cameron’s expense

By: Jeff Misenti

The Tory party has been consistently attacking Ed Miliband over whether Labour will enter into a deal with the SNP if the General Election fails to produce a clear result.

There was no let-up in the attack today as the Tories unveiled a new poster produced by advertising agency M&C Saatchi showing Ed Miliband in the pocket of former SNP leader Alex Salmond.

The Tories hope the prospect of a Labour government propped up by an SNP purely on the lookout for Scotland's interests will scare enough voters into sticking with David Cameron.

Meanwhile, Ed Balls is on the attack warning the country of massive Tory cuts to public spending and Nick Clegg is unveiling his party's plans for science and industry.

Not to be left out of the action, Ukip have had some fun David Cameron's expense. Nigel Farage's party produced a spoof of the Tories' attack ad with Cameron happily ensconced in the pocket of Jean Claude Junker – President of the European Commission.

Raheem Kassam, senior adviser to Nigel Farage, told CityAM:

While the Tories may want to portray Ed Miliband in the pocket of the SNP, we all know whose pocket David Cameron's in.

Nice posters from the Tories today. It would be a great shame if someone spoofed them… pic.twitter.com/C83H1ELAdt
