Vegan sausage rolls and a Nandos uniform: 25 weird items people left in their Uber rides

A Nandos uniform, a painting of the Last Supper, a tooth and a Gregg's vegan sausage roll are just some of the items that British passengers have left behind in Uber cars in the last year.

While some witty Brits simply reported leaving behind their dignity and pride in an Uber – presumably after a big night out – other late night revellers lose much more, with Saturdays seeing the most lost items left on drivers' backseats, especially between midnight and 1am.

Party goers seem to be the most forgetful, as holidays top the list of the days that the most items are reported lost on Uber, according to the company's Lost & Found Index.

Halloween, New Year's Day, and the day after St Patrick's Day all make the top five. With St Patrick's Day coming up on Friday, Uber riders should be especially careful not to leave anything behind.

Here's a list of the 25 strangest things Uber found left behind in 2018:

1. 45 pieces of fried chicken
2. Last Supper painting
3. Fake skull
4. Nandos uniform
5. Five toilet rolls
6.  A cat
7. The script of Legally Blonde
8. Purple travel potty
9. Ukelele
10. Smoke machine
11. Herbs in a jar
12. Dentures
13. Two vodka cranberries and 20 Sovereign Blue
14. Electric scooter
15. GCSE art project
16. Masonic apron
17. Panini maker
18. Pewter drinking tankard
19. SNES games console
20. KFC meal
21. Panettone
22. Return train ticket to Scotland
23. Vegan sausage roll
24. Bros poster
25. A tooth

However, if you do forget something on your next Uber journey, don't fret.

“Because Uber offers 24/7 in-app support and records the details of your trip, you’re much more likely to be reunited with your belongings, especially when you can call your driver directly from the app to arrange its safe delivery back to you,” an Uber spokesperson said.
