What it’s like to get your secret santa from the world’s richest man
Reddit's Secret Santa gift exchange took an interesting turn this year when 24 year old Reddit user Rachel received a gift from a surprising secret santa.
Her secret santa was no less than the billionaire founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates. The world's richest man, according to Bloomberg's Billionaires, gave Rachel a stuffed cow representing a cow he donated on her behalf to Heifer International. The 69 year old charity provides livestock, seeds and trees to those in need.
Rachel also received a National Geographic travel book titled "Journey of a lifetime."
An overjoyed Rachel wrote Gates a thank you note in a blog post on RedditGifts:
I am so very, very grateful for the amazing and thoughtful gift you have picked for me! Not only is the gift PERFECT from anyone, but I am sincerely very appreciative that you took the time to find something so fitting for me.
Expressing some concern the that Gates might have sneaked a peak at some other items on Rachel's wish list, Rachel added:
Sorry for the iPad on my wish list, that was really awkward.
