Pub operator JD Wetherspoon has declared it will extend its current price slashing initiative until February next year.

All pubs are to offer drinks at reduced prices until Monday 28 February 2022, following an initial discount throughout November.

The slashing of prices comes as many pub bosses have echoed concerns about rising overheads and warned price hikes may be on the horizon.

Across 671 JDW pubs, punters can purchase a pint of Ruddles Best, a bottle of Beck’s and a 25ml measure of Bell’s whisky with a mixer, for 99p.

More than 750 JDW venues are also offering discounts on mini bottles of Prosecco at £2.99 and standard size bottles at £10.99.

A 25ml measure of Gordon’s gin costs £1.99 while a glass of Coldwater Creek (from a choice of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, White Zinfandel Rose) costs £1.69 for a 175ml glass.

Prices at other pubs will also be reduced but will vary depending on location and drinks on offer.

Pub goers can also purchase any hot drink for 99p, with free refills, across the pub behemoth’s estate.

JD Wetherspoon’s chairman Tim Martin, said: “ Our pubs are known for their excellent choice of drinks at value-for-money-prices at all times.

“We are delighted to be extending our lower prices until the end of February.”
