CITY VIEWS: DO YOU PREFER WORKING IN CANARY WHARF TO THE CITY ITSELF?

SUNETH SILVA MORGAN STANLEY
“I used to work in the City, and I like both. The City is popular for its culture, history and convenience, while others prefer Canary Wharf for its smart new buildings and facilities. As far as business contacts go, it can be inconvenient to go back to the City for meetings, but overall I love working here in Canary Wharf.”

SVEN RYNHOUD ANZ BANK
“I do prefer Canary Wharf. My contacts are evenly spread between the two, but I regularly travel into the City and the DLR is very convenient. I like that it is so big and open in Canary Wharf – and though it lacks the appeal of the tradition in the City, I think Canary Wharf is and will remain the place to be.”

MALCOLM WOODS FINANCIAL SERVICES AUTHORITY
“Canary Wharf is one of the most vibrant places I’ve ever worked – there’s a buzz here even out of hours. I never find it’s a problem to keep up contacts in the City as communication channels are so good. I think the City and Canary Wharf can continue to thrive side by side, as there’s plenty of room for everyone.”
