Today's City Moves cover insurance broking and payments companies. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

Marsh

Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and innovative risk management solutions, has appointed Alistair Fraser (pictured) as CEO of its UK corporate division. Alistair succeeds Joe Grogan, who Marsh has named as chairman of Marsh Ireland. Both appointments, which are subject to regulatory approval, are expected to take effect by the end of 2018. Alistair is currently CEO & President director, Marsh Indonesia, and serves on Marsh Asia’s executive committee. In his new role, he will assume overall responsibility for Marsh’s Corporate business across the UK and report to Chris Lay, CEO, Marsh UK & Ireland. As chairman of Marsh Ireland, Joe will oversee Marsh’s Irish operations, with a particular focus on implementing Marsh’s Brexit strategy. In his nearly 40-year career, Joe has held numerous senior roles in his 27 years at Marsh and led the UK corporate business since 2009.

OFX

International payments company OFX has appointed Sarah Webb as President, UK and Europe. Sarah joins OFX from Barclays, where she held the role of managing director, global payments networks, Barclaycard and led a team responsible for managing the commercial relationships with the card payment networks across Barclays’ credit and debit portfolios globally, as well as leading the Barclaycard PSD2 programme. Previously Sarah was managing director in the Barclaycard corporate payments business, heading up the account management and product teams, where she played a leading role in the turnaround and launch of a new customer approach that drove double-digit growth over three years. Before joining Barclays, Sarah was head of global product management, commercial card, at American Express and led a global team responsible for the end-to-end product management of the corporate payments T&E product set.

Currencycloud

Leading international payments platform Currencycloud has appointed Anthemis partner and payments expert Samantha Ghiotti as a new board member, to underpin Currencycloud’s ambitious international growth plans. Samantha is a partner at Anthemis Group where she leads enterprise business development, bringing a unique blend of executive, entrepreneurial and deal-making experience to the firm. As the founder of Anthemis’ Advisory business, she has developed and grown strategic relationships with leading financial institutions providing investments, venturing and insights. She currently sits on the board of Anthemis’ strategic investment vehicles.
