Edison Investment Research
Céline Saikali has joined the research firm as an account director, tasked with re-launching its investor access offering and focusing on European opportunities.

Saikali previously worked at financial PR agency Redleaf Communications as an account director and head of the transaction team. Prior to that, she was at Dresdner Kleinwort, covering emerging markets in the fixed income client team.

Heron International
The property group, led by tycoon Gerald Ronson, has appointed Jonathan Goldstein as its new deputy chief executive.

Goldstein, 43, joined the firm as joint managing director with responsibility for corporate and financing activities in May 2007. Prior to that, he spent nine years as chief executive of law firm Olswang, where he drove annual turnover from £12m to £85m.
In addition, Peter Ferrari will become managing director of property at Heron, focusing on delivery of its major development portfolio, including Heron Tower in the City.
IlliquidX

The financial services boutique has hired Dimitris Athanassopoulos, Taro Goto and Attila Cetin to its distressed asset team.
Athanassopoulos advises and executives on distressed debt in fixed income, specialising in cash and synthetic CDOs. He joins from the structured credit desk at Citi and has also worked in equity derivatives at Société Générale.
Goto, who has experience at Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Scotland and Merrill Lynch, specialises in stressed and distressed situations in the fixed income markets. Cetin, who sources stressed and distressed assets and NPLs with a particular focus on German speaking countries, also joins from Morgan Stanley.
Towergate
The group, which is Europe’s largest independently owned insurance intermediary, has appointed Amanda Blanc as its new deputy group chief executive, effective from 1 January.
Blanc is currently chief executive of the group’s retail division, having joined in 2006. Her insurance career began at Commercial Union in 1989 and she has also held senior posts at Axa UK and Groupama UK.
Mercer
The consulting firm has hired Terry Henrickson as a strategy consultant and technical modeller and Catherine Reddin as an operations specialist in its dynamic de-risking solutions team.
Henrickson formerly worked at Milliman Financial Risk Management, while Reddin was at Integrated Alternative Investments and, before that, headed a team of fund accountants at Schroders.
