The UK-based Learning Resource Network has just landed a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade, one of the United Kingdom’s highest business honours.

The award marks its second Royal recognition in six years, following on from a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2020, and firmly enhances its reputation as a major contributor to the country’s international education sector.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are widely regarded as the UK’s most prestigious business awards, renamed in 2023 following the accession of King Charles.

LRN was named among just 186 organisations across Britain to receive an award, recognising businesses that demonstrate excellence in international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity.

LRN was founded in 2011 in the United Kingdom by its CEO Dr Muhammad Zohaib Tariq, starting with just two people and a single conviction Ñ that high-quality British education should be accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Dr Muhammad Zohaib Tariq said: “When I started LRN, the ambition was simple Ñ quality education should reach everyone, regardless of where they live. Winning a second Royal honour confirms we are on the right

“Two Royal awards in six years is not something we take lightly. It reflects the trust that 1.2 million learners and hundreds of partner centres across 58 countries have placed in us. That trust is now our greatest asset – and this honour gives us the confidence to aim even higher.”

“Furthermore, the achievement of this honour is a testament to the engagement of LRN’s centre network, the strength of our collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships, and most importantly, the hard work, commitment, and loyalty of my team. LRN remains committed to supporting learners and institutions worldwide through accessible, high-quality education.”

His organisation creates and delivers educational qualifications globally. They design accredited programs for schools, training providers, and employers across subjects like English language, education and training, business, AI, early years, and management.
