Sculpture in the City won’t float everybody’s boat of course, and for those in that camp, there’s something on over in Guildhall Yard that might tickle your fancy – the City Beerfest is back today.

There’s more than a dozen of Britain’s top breweries there peddling their wares, including Meantime and Hepworth. There’s also a list of bands pitching up to entertain your ears while you snaffle some beers.

The Ragged-Out String Band will perform from 12:30pm to 1:45pm. Fresh from recording their new album, alternative folk group Tir Eolas will play from 5:30pm to 6:15pm. The Ramshackle Union Band follow between 6:30pm and 7:15pm, before Police Dog Hogan close the event between 7:30pm and 9:00pm.

Throw on your flannel shirts, it’s a right City hoedown.
