Fans of American rock band Nickelback had been anxiously waiting to find out if tonight's concert at the O2 would go ahead, after a controlled explosion was carried out at the nearby North Greenwich Tube station.

A suspicious package was found on board an eastbound Jubilee train this morning, but following discussions with the police, the O2 said the venue would remain open and the performance would go ahead as planned.

We'd like to thank @metpoliceuk @BTP @TheO2 & @LiveNationUK first & foremost for their concern for the well-being of everyone in this city.

But Nickelback fans were forced to travel by more unusual means to get to the concert.

Some took the travel delays and disruptions in their stride…

And others had better luck than others.

Perhaps most importantly, the Emirates Air Line may be on course for its busiest night in history…
