Picks of the day: The three stories to read today

It’s been a pretty miserable day outside, and your workload probably isn't helping the matter.

To make your afternoon a bit easier – and interesting – we’ve put together the top three stories of the day in bite-sized form.

Unicorn drawn cabs are taking commuters to work.

Ever wanted to hitch a ride on a unicorn? Well now you can. "Unicabs" were available to workers around Monument station this morning, drawn by a pair of white horses who have pink and purple hooves, rainbow manes and, of course, a multi-coloured horn. You can’t miss them. Don't worry if you took a tube or bus this morning though, they'll be in other parts of the City in the next two days, so keep a look out!

BT to give London's phone boxes a revamp

BT is planning on “evolving the phone box to make it relevant in the 21st century” and the current ones will be scrapped. The new phone boxes are due to launch in London next year, and have already launched in New York. But what other services will the upgrades deliver?
