Transport for London chief Sir Peter Hendy brands trains into London “s**t” as Southeastern causes chaos at London Bridge

The painfully early start, followed by a delayed train, and once on-board it's usually so rammed commuters are lucky if they get even a seat. All of this makes commuting into central London an absolute nightmare.

So it's no wonder the commissioner of Transport for London has said the commuter trains which ferry hundreds of thousands of workers into the capital each day day are "s**t" and "awful".

"On Southeastern, the trains are like the Wild West. They are s**t, awful. And then every now and then some people who look like the Gestapo get on and fine everyone they can. It doesn’t improve your day, does it?" Sir Peter Hendy said in an interview with Management Today

Another sore spot was London Bridge, where the station's £6.5bn renovation routinely causes widespread chaos as commuters have to contend with delays, cancellations and other disruptions.

"Take Network Rail … I take no pleasure in saying this, but it's under fire at the moment."

"The chief exec is a nice bloke and he has this idea about the digital railway and getting the most out of the railway in the next 30 years – but no one is listening because they can't fix London Bridge."
